DIY microgreens in recycled containers! #shorts

I met up with my dear friend @jackspatch1024 to up cycle old plant based milk containers and use them to grow food using my windowsill!

You can use any kind of container and rather than throw it in the bin, you can give it a new valuable function. This is the perfect project for people with a limited space like myself and all you require is just natural light and water to grow an amazing source of nutrients!

STEP BY STEP:

1. Clean container and soak your seeds for 12-24 hours if you are using peas (sow direct without soaking for kale, radish, broccoli, cabbage)
2. Cut open the face of the carton to make a planter
3. Fill with multi purpose compost
4. Make sure you push the soil tight and leave a flat surface
5. Sow your Microgreen seeds densely on the surface.
6. Spray heavily with water
7. Add weight on top
8. After a few days you should see the sprouts push up the weight and reach for light.
9. Uncover to the light, spray with water. Only spray if the soil is dry, leave if wet. By day 7-14 your micros are ready
